fever at the age of 3 years and had fits.

Government Mental hospital for his
abnormal behaviour. He has an aggressive
attitude.
Aims to improve Vignesh Kumar:
1. To read and recognize letters and numbers
2. To preparing him to attend normal primary school
3. To improve his patience and concentration.
4. To bring a normal attitude in him.
Training given at Nesam:
1. To make him sit in the class room. The teacher gives him play-toys. He has to listen to the teacher for at least 10 minutes.
2. He is trained to eat properly since he is a poor eater.
3. He is not interested to write though he recognizes the letters.
4. He can orally communicate the numbers from one through fifty, but can only write one to five not in numerical order.
5. He can tell identify the colors and he paints pictures of vegetables and fruits.
6. Vocational training such as envelope making is being given.
OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
• He had a lot of behaviour problems. Very possessive about things in the class room and he won’t share with others.
• Very hyperactive and had attention - deficit disorder - He won’t sit in a place for 5 minutes and concentrate on any work.
• Does not mingle in group and wants to be alone.
• He was taken to a normal school by the teacher and mother and first integrated with other children during play hours twice a week in the afternoon. Slowly the duration was increased and he was in the regular classroom (2nd Std.) the whole day. Now, he is promoted to 3rd Std. The teacher goes twice a month to review and helps the child as a resource teacher.
• His problem behaviours are reduced and the parents are happy. He is doing the normal curriculum of 3rd Std.
