A great turn out and a fabulous show of talents. Thank you all for your support to a worthy cause! More than 600 people attended the dinner and we are happy to get the feed back that nearly all had a great evening of fun and food! We were honored to have Dr. Shane Greene – Director of Projects at Grand Challenges Canada as our chief guest and he spoke about how well the EI project is run at Amar Seva Sangam and Canadian Govt. is happy to provide funding. Dr. Dominique McMahon, the project coordinator from GCC, who was primarily responsible for getting the funding for us, was our guest of honor. She had visited Amar Seva Sangam last year (2017) and she shared her experience of her. She said, “I oversee similar projects around the world where more than 30 countries have come under GCC funding, yet Amar Seva Sangam stands out and the quality and comprehensive service they provide is excellent.” The entertainment segment with small children and youth singing and dancing was fabulous, the fire dance by Nilantha stealing the show. The hall was buzzing with activities such as face paining, Raffles, Silent Auction tables with great bargains, vendors / sponsors and so on. Last but not the least the food at Avani was one of a kind, tasty and won the hearts of everyone.
